I met the love of my life in my early twenties. I thought we’d be together forever. Instead, we were ripped apart. Decisions were made without my consent, and I broke. My family put me back together.
Then I met a man. A good man, one of the best. But I couldn’t give him what he needed; I knew deep in my heart that I couldn’t love him like I should because my heart was already taken.
 So, I set him free to love another.
I guess there’s more of my mother in me than I realised.
I left.
I roamed the world for years hoping to ease the ache in my soul. Just when I thought I may be healed the last blow landed and I broke again.
The decisions I made had consequences but, in the end, it was my saving grace, and I came back stronger.
